Basse-Terre is the green, mountainous wing of Guadeloupe. The villa sits above Deshaies with a pool, a barbecue terrace and the long dark-gold sweep of Grande Anse below.
Lovely spot and very comfortable. The water pressure in the second bathroom is weak, which is the only reason this isn't five stars.
We've been coming to the Caribbean for fifteen years and this is the first place we've immediately rebooked for next year.
